Request For Proposal for an Assessment Administration and CAMA System(s)
On May 19, 2005, the Lafayette Parish Assessor’s Office issued a Request For Proposal for an Assessment Administration and Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal (CAMA) System. The current assessment system was developed 20 years ago by City of Lafayette computer programmers. Making changes to this system was very difficult and time consuming. For this reason, the system was not regularly updated to keep pace with the changes in the assessment field. Much of the data in the assessor’s office is still on paper and not on computer.
